A deliciously festive dessert that combines a rich cheesecake with the crunch of peppermint bark.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter; press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and sour cream.
  5. Fold in crushed peppermint candies and melted chocolate.
  6. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake for 60 minutes until set. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, decorate with additional crushed peppermint and chocolate shavings on top.
